Introducing a new character in a comic book
FIRST STEP: Create a character profile.
Character profile

Physical description (height, weight, skin, hair, eyes…)

Place of origin and description of his/her neighbourhood:

Description of his/her family (parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents
and pets):

SECOND STEP: Create the scene where you introduce the new character.

How can I
introduce a new character in the story?
·
Introduce a flashback:
o
One character feels lonely and remembers an event of his/ her life (with
the new character).
o
One character is solving a mystery and remembers a person (the new character)
talking to him and giving clues to solve the problem.

Introduce a flash-forward:
o
How is life after the end of the story? Introduce you new character 5
years after the end of the story and relate it to the man character.
·
Introduce a new conversation in during a scene in the comic.
o
Choose one moment in the story and add a new character. Make him or her
have a conversation with the real characters in the story.

Your new character can be a news reporter, the president of a nation, a
doctor, a nurse, a migrant, a policeman, a soldier, a bus driver, a shop

THIRD STEP: Design the new character.
FOURTH STEP: Write and/or design the new dialogue.
FIFTH STEP: HAND IN TO TEACHER.
